Candy Cohn is a Certified Senior Advisor® and owner of Oasis Senior Advisors South Florida. Originally from Philadelphia, Candy has lived in Florida since 1985. After living in Martin County for years, she moved to Delray Beach in 2008 and then to Boca Raton in 2017.

Her background in healthcare marketing includes community relations at Martin Memorial Hospital in Stuart, FL; writing for the “Psychotherapy Finances” newsletter; Marketing Director for Flexsite Diagnostics; and community relations at the Visiting Nurse Association of Florida. After helping her parents move to a senior living community in 2011, Candy realized the complexity and emotional challenges involved in this transition and has since dedicated herself to serving others who needed to make these life changes.

Candy is very active in the community, including being a member of the BNI Boca Raton Business Exchange, Provisors, the Boca Raton Jewish Federation’s Business and Professionals Group, Palm Beach County Partnership for Aging (PFA), the Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce, participating regularly in the Chamber’s South County Healthcare Advocacy Network (SHAN) as well as the Palm Beach County Guardianship Association and Florida Assisted Living Association (FALA). Candy also serves as past president of Broward County Elder Services Resource Network (ESRN) and served several years on the planning committee for the Boca Raton Walk to End Alzheimer’s and the Brain Bowl Charity Luncheon, which raises money for Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s related non-profits.

Kim Harris is a qualified geriatric Care Manager and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Services Administration from Barry University. She has spent over ten years as a client representative for all matters pertaining to client care and advocacy. Kim has a forte for providing a cohesive system of communication complete with appropriate recommendations to family members. She takes a proactive approach on behalf of the client to ensure and preserve dignity, rights and a sense of well-being. As a member of the Oasis Senior Advisors South Florida team, Kim is pleased to be able to utilize her years of experience which include coordinating senior living as well as in-home care and providing other senior resources. In addition to serving as a respected Care Manager, Kim enjoys helping families as a trained Group Facilitator for the Alzheimer's Association.

Originally from Brooklyn, NY, Jack has spent years living in New Jersey, Charlotte, NC, and Rockville, Maryland. He now resides in the Boca Raton, FL area and is loving the active Florida lifestyle including running outside all year and playing lots of pickleball.
Jack initially worked on Wall Street as an actuary and then in operational and financial analysis. Jack took a love for computers when they first came out and educated school systems and children. He owned six technology schools for adults and children in various cities. After selling the schools, his next journey was working for Goodwill Industries International, a non-profit, where he promoted distance learning and designed learning for social workers and case managers.
Jack has always had a passion for assisting others, and he has taken very strongly to becoming a senior living advisor as well as managing much of the operational part of Oasis Senior Advisors South Florida. One of his favorite aspects of the business is spending time with clients, consulting and sharing stories. Jack's personable ways and great sense of humor make him a natural for this career.

Crystal Derrick, with a career spanning over 25 years, has worked for large pharma organizations including Merck, Eli Lilly and Daiichi Sankyo and more while holding senior management roles. While working in the retail pharmacy space at Walgreens, her awareness of unique needs in the senior population served as a call to action. In 2018 Crystal took on the role of VP Market Access, helping Pharma client successfully manage complex medications through the complex commercialization process. Through her background in the healthcare space, Crystal has come to understand the complex medical needs of seniors and the comprehensive approach needed to ensure overall quality of health for this population.

Crystal's passion for helping those in the senior community has involved work and volunteering with the Alzheimer's Association for many years. Crystal has a Bachelor's in Marketing from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and obtained her Master's of Business Administration from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. Since 2022, she has been residing in Boca Raton and enjoys volunteering in the local community.

Julie Danetz comes to Oasis Senior Advisors with a background that includes 34 years in Human Resources and Relationship Management in the Healthcare and Education field. Through this career path she developed excellent communication, facilitation and relationship management skills, which is proving to be a huge asset as she works with seniors and their families. Julie has a bachelor's degree in human services and business from Simmons College, Boston, MA. Additionally, she volunteered as a board member for various nonprofit organizations that had a positive impact on children and families, including those with mental health issues. Julie spent most of her life in Connecticut and is happy to have relocated to South Florida where much of her family lives as well.
Julie is enjoying working with seniors and their families to help them navigate the process of finding a community that meets their needs. Her goal is to help them find their “Oasis” as their next home. She gained passion for this process while experiencing the personalized approach that Oasis offered her own family in finding the best community for her mother. Julie's professional career and her personal experience with Oasis helps her relate to the process and emotions of this transition. She serves as a wonderful partner and advocate to seniors and their families.

Melissa began her senior living career in 1998 at a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Jupiter. With her passion for seniors and their families, she quickly transitioned to assisted living communities in Jupiter and Stuart. She gained the knowledge to serve in several roles, including associate executive director, lifestyle director, and memory care director. Her favorite moments in the community were sharing conversations with the residents and gaining wisdom from them. Originally from Trinidad, Melissa and her family moved to Jupiter when she was ten. She attended all of the Jupiter schools and recalls when the Military Trail was made up of only two lanes. Melissa and her husband of twenty-plus years have two sons and a German Shepherd. She loves spending time at the beach with her family.
