CASC, Community Agency for Senior Citizens, Inc. is a community-based agency that is based in Staten Island and was created to support the needs of older adults on The Island. Their mission is to help adults stay in their homes, and they collaborate with other organizations to help their clients thrive in the community. They are a go-to organization for Staten Islanders.

Their level of services is expansive including two Older Adult Centers, both located on the North Shore. They offer breakfast, lunch, trips, and activities for older adults. The first one is New Lane Neighborhood Older Adult Center located at 70 New Lane, Staten Island, NY 10305, and the other one is Cassidy Coles Neighborhood Older Adult Center located at 125 Cassidy Place, Staten Island, NY 10301.

Beyond that, they also help older adults with everything from case management to home care to home delivery meals to transportation to housing, and even Elder Abuse, all to support older adults in the community.

This month, on October 24^th, CASC is celebrating its 50^th anniversary by having a gala. They will have local Staten Island community leaders come together in celebration. Please support their mission and purchase a ticket.

We were lucky to spend time talking with Albana Telic, President/CEO,and Patrice Moe-Lenon, Chief Development Officer, to understand the work they’re doing in the community. Their passion and commitment shines through and is evidenced by their longevity.
