Missy and I are life-long residents of Northwest Ohio. Missy’s career has been spent as a registered nurse in the ER and in hospice, and as a care navigator; most recently she worked for an insurance company as a case manager. I was a teacher and principal for 13 years at a local high school, as well as one of the managing directors for a local consultancy.

However, we have decided to work together to return to our roots of helping people. We have recently each lost a parent; Missy lost her dad; Pete, and I lost my mom; Mary Ann. In both instances, when they had to find a new place to live, we had about 24 hours to try to determine the best place for each of them. It was a completely overwhelming experience.

In honor of our parents, who both always had a special place in their hearts for the elderly, we opened Oasis Senior Advisors Northwest Ohio. Our goal is to personally work with families to find the best place for their loved one. Helping your mom or dad transition to a new home can be challenging in itself; the process of finding the right place should not be overwhelming. We can help.

Emily was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio, and is currently raising her two daughters alongside her fiancé. Her family enjoys spending time outdoors and taking in the beautiful four seasons that Northwest Ohio has to offer. She grew up surrounded by healthcare, and her recent journey has led her to senior living, where she discovered a need for education about the options that senior communities can provide.

She finds joy and excitement in helping families navigate the overwhelming responsibilities of finding the most compatible senior living community for their loved ones. Emily looks forward to guiding families to their new homes, leaving them with a sense of ease and calm. Together, they can make the best decision for the perfect senior living community.

Emily has been in the healthcare field for over 20 years, with the last 13 years spent practicing as a nurse.

With 20 years of experience in healthcare, Vanessa has dedicated her career to supporting seniors and their families. Over the years, she has worked as a nurse and held leadership roles, including Executive Director, Director of Sales & Marketing, and Divisional Vice President of Operations. These experiences have given her a deep understanding of the unique needs of those in assisted living and memory care communities.

She has led teams across the eastern U.S., always focused on delivering compassionate, high-quality care. Her goal is to help families navigate the challenging decisions that come with finding the right care for their loved ones. Vanessa believes everyone deserves dignity and respect, especially in their later years, and she is committed to providing families with the support and information they need during these important transitions.
