I was born and raised in rural Pennsylvania and moved to Illinois in 2003 with my husband, and we raised our 2 boys in
family-friendly Naperville. Even as a young child I was drawn to service and helping/being present for those in need. I
enjoyed spending my time in service and, in my teen years, I volunteered at the local nursing home in the activity
department and found my calling. As an adult, I volunteer at the local food pantry and with my family for Habitat for
Humanity. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Anthropology and a Master’s Degree in Healthcare
Administration. I have a 30-year career in long-term care covering In-Home community-based services, older adult
protective services, independent living, assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing care. I began my roles in social
services and then as a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator, Executive Director, and other regional operational roles. I
also serve as adjunct faculty at the College of DuPage for the Long-Term Care Administration program to help our next
generation of administrators become prepared to be leaders and effective change agents.
Along my career path, I had the opportunity to meet an Oasis Senior Advisor and began to partner with them.
Together we helped families and those in need of care/assistance find the right level of care in the right place at the
right time. Making such a life-changing decision is difficult and when I saw a path to be able to become an owner at Oasis Senior
Advisors, I knew it was where I was meant to be. There are so many care options, and to be able to guide those in
need with both compassion and industry knowledge is an honor. The personal attention you get from Oasis makes
all the difference.

Alan and his wife Lee Ann opened Oasis Senior Advisors in 2014, marking the first Oasis Senior Advisor location in Illinois. Alan proudly owned Oasis Naperville for 9 years. Oasis Senior Advisors allowed Alan to rediscover his passion for helping people in times of need, similar to the personal satisfaction he experienced in his first job after college as a service technician working with chronic lung clients. His goal has always been to deliver the highest level of customer satisfaction, embracing challenges to “go the extra mile.” Positive feedback from clients fueled his soul and affirmed his approach, leading to his success with Oasis.

During his 9 years as an owner, Alan met Jennifer Conniff, who expressed interest in opening her own Oasis. While Alan did not hire Jennifer, her eventual ownership of his Oasis was a goal he cherished, knowing she shared his passion for helping people and would take the franchise to greater success. Alan is proud to work with Jennifer and believes that they are the best partners to assist clients with housing and care options.
