Carey Fitzgerald, MHA is very excited to join the Oasis Senior Advisor Team of Maine & New Hampshire as a Senior Living Advisor. She brings with her a wealth of knowledge having worked in the Seacoast of NH/ME healthcare industry since 2009. Most recently, for the last 6 years, Carey worked as a home health liaison. In her previous role, she collaborated with local primary care providers, assisted livings, home care providers, hospitals, and skilled nursing facilities to coordinate and bring New Hampshire and Maine residents medical home care services to, wherever they called home. Since 2010, Carey has been the facilitator of Seacoast Senior/Healthcare Provider Networking Group, a volunteer role she still holds. She is also a volunteer member of the outreach committee for Seacoast Village Project, a Portsmouth, NH, a non-profit dedicated to helping neighbors age in place through a volunteer network of support. Carey holds a Master of Healthcare Administration from Boston College, Boston, MA and Bachelor of Business Administration from Bryant University in Smithfield, R. I. She herself was a 15-year primary caregiver for a family member with complex health issues and knows the struggles firsthand of caring for a loved one. Carey is always willing to chat with anyone struggling to understand the local resources for successful aging. She encourages you to call her with any questions related to spectrum of senior care from home care to assisted livings to long term care, etc. She has a resource list of over 300+ community members she leans on to help seniors age on their terms. If she does not know the answer, she knows who will.
