I was born and raised in Wisconsin, and currently live in Waunakee. My family includes my partner of 30+ years, our 2 adult children and 3 grandchildren. I am the youngest of 7 children and grew up with a strong sense of family. My father passed away when I was a teenager. This was a huge loss for me. Currently, I balance life and work as interchangeable parts. With great pride and love, I was a primary caregiver and support to my mom for many years, until her passing in late 2018.

I’ve spent most of my career working with/for seniors. It’s a passion and a calling! I’ve worked in healthcare, rehabilitation, case management, and a variety of senior living communities. I’m originally from Rockford, IL where I spent much of my youth with my grandparents whom I had a strong connection with and always admired. My wife and I moved to Florida soon after we married and then returned to the Midwest soon after our children were born. We now call Sun Prairie, WI home and couldn’t imagine living anywhere else.

Before joining Oasis, I’ve spent most of my adult life serving older adults in both community settings and hospice services. Having extensive knowledge of what families navigate through to make decisions for their loved ones has propelled me into this role where I can offer a much broader scope of available services.

As a Senior Living Advisor, my goal is to remove the stress of finding the most appropriate community for your loved one. I look forward to working with you and taking away that overwhelming stress of choosing a community.

I’ve spent my entire life in Southeastern Wisconsin, having been fortunate enough to grow up in the Geneva Lakes area enjoying an abundance of outdoor activities and relishing valued relationships with friends and family. One of my favorite activities as a Girl Scout was our monthly trek to the county “nursing home” to play bingo with the residents. This was the first glimmer of what would become a beloved career for me.
I began my career in senior living and care immediately after college. My very first day as a switchboard operator in the lobby of large skilled nursing facility enlightened me to the fact that while I liked the switchboard fine, the real joy for me was the residents. I quickly found myself on a career path in sales and operations at the evolution of assisted living. What a gift to be a part of such a significant shift in how we care for our aging population! With the guidance of an excellent mentor early on, and now forty years in, I feel as though I’ve contributed my share to the business side of things. Now it’s time for me to work side by side with people as they embark on the complicated journey of securing care and services for themselves, family members or friends. While quality care should be a given, it’s sometimes not, and there is so much more to senior living than the care component. It’s also finding solutions that honor personal history and values. At this stage in my career, helping ensure families are confident in their choices while feeling their best in making difficult and emotional decisions is where I find my joy. Oasis allows me to be proud of my life’s work, and that carries over into my relationships with my husband, grown children and their families.
