Owner, Certified Senior Advisor®
Neal Bowes, a Certified Senior Advisor® living in Johnson City, is the owner of Oasis Senior Advisors East Tennessee. Originally from rural Pennsylvania, Neal and his wife moved to Connecticut soon after they married, where they started their family, and he worked for sixteen years as a youth minister with the local Methodist church. The experience of working with families of teenagers through often stressful situations has helped prepare Neal to nurture and guide families considering their options for senior living – a challenging process that can be confusing and emotionally charged.
Upon moving to Johnson City in 2018, Neal and his family quickly fell in love with East Tennessee. The people, the mountains, the music, and the food make this the most amazing place to call home. Our region can also be proud of our many excellent senior living communities, each with its own philosophy, level of care, activities schedule, and overall “feel.” One size does not fit all, and while it's good to have a choice, how do you make that choice? How do you make the right choice? That's why your local senior living advisor is here to help. Neal visits all the area's senior living communities and their admissions personnel on a regular basis. He knows them, and once he gets to know you – the things you want, the things you need, and the things that concern you – he'll be able to help alleviate any anxiety by narrowing the search to only the best matches for you. He'll even schedule your tours, introduce you to everybody, and continue assisting until you're ready to move in.
As a member of the Society of Certified Senior Advisors, Neal has completed coursework on the process of aging and ethics in working with seniors. He maintains his membership through the completion of continuing education credit units. He is also always expanding his network of senior living professionals so he may refer with confidence when something falls beyond his area of expertise. Neal is well-informed and well-connected and serves seniors with a minister's disposition and a heart for people.
