Lumia Mequon Assisted Living and Memory Care offers three levels of residency—Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care—so residents can remain in the same community as needs change. Advanced dementia conditions are accepted, and the community is equipped to assist residents who wander at any time of day, attempt elopement, display combative or other behavioral issues, stay awake through the night, or require complex diabetic oversight, special diets, oxygen therapy, or wound care. Full-assistance is available with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting, and staff members can perform standby, one-person, two-person, or Hoyer-lift transfers, including care for those who are bed bound.
An RN or LPN is on staff, with a nurse on call 24 hours. All team members undergo background checks, and an awake night shift monitors door alarms, wander-guard systems, pull cords, and PERS devices. On-site services such as podiatry, psychiatric support, and a dedicated therapy room reduce the need for outside appointments. The secured rear area is fenced, and residents have supervised access to outdoor space under the oversight of the community’s activity director.
Accommodation options range from studios to larger apartments, some with private bathrooms, kitchenettes, and independent temperature controls. Rooms are furnished but residents may bring personal items and can paint or decorate to make the space their own. Cable service, housekeeping, and scheduled laundry are provided, and select units include in-unit laundry.
Daily dining offers both set menus and made-to-order selections, with snacks available throughout the day, in-room meal service, and a private dining room for family gatherings. Therapeutic diets—gluten-free, vegetarian, mechanical-chopped, puréed, or thickened liquids—are prepared under staff supervision to meet physician orders and nutritional guidelines.
Residents have access to parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber and beauty shop, exercise and movie rooms, internet, communal gardens, on-site religious services, concierge support, a library, special-interest clubs, and scheduled transportation for medical appointments. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
