Comforts of Home – Menomonie is an assisted-living community. Residents receive day-to-day help with personal care tasks such as grooming, bathing, mobility and medication reminders, as well as routine monitoring by staff trained to notice changes in condition and coordinate additional services when needed.
The community is secured, and entry points are monitored to support residents who may be at risk of wandering. Short-term respite stays are available for individuals recovering from illness or for caregivers who need a temporary break. Diabetes management is supported through blood-glucose monitoring, medication assistance and coordination with outside medical providers when necessary.
Apartments vary in size and layout. Some include outdoor sitting areas, cable TV service, wheelchair-accessible showers, and utilities such as electricity, heating and water. Select units have parking spaces for residents who still drive. Because features differ among floor plans, prospective residents should verify which amenities are included in the specific apartment they are considering.
Dining is handled on site, with three meals served daily and lighter fare offered between meals. Menus are developed to meet nutritional guidelines and accommodate common dietary restrictions. Residents who prefer additional snacks during the day can choose from a selection of healthy options.
Residents have access to an activity center for scheduled programs, can spend time outdoors on the grounds, and may join clubs or take part in organized social outings into the community.
