Northfield Manor provides two primary levels of care: Assisted Living for residents who need help with activities of daily living and a secure Memory Care program designed for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia. The community also accepts respite or short-term stays, making it an option for families who need temporary support or are evaluating a longer placement.
Medical oversight is extensive. The secured setting is staffed to serve residents with varying health needs, including high-acuity and non-ambulatory care. On-site professionals cover diabetic management, medication administration, speech, occupational and physical therapy, podiatry, optometry, and dentistry. Physicians visit regularly, hospice services are available when needed, and the campus is designed specifically to accommodate memory loss, helping reduce confusion and wandering.
Private and companion suites come in several layouts. Depending on the unit selected, features may include ground-floor access, private baths, kitchenettes, wheelchair-accessible showers, garden views, cable or satellite TV, Wi-Fi, and air conditioning. Pets are welcome, and pet care can be arranged. Common spaces such as indoor and outdoor lounges, a library, meeting rooms, a central fireplace, and landscaped patios give residents options for relaxation. Not every accommodation includes every feature, so families should review specific room details during a tour.
Meals are prepared by a professional chef and offered restaurant-style with all-day dining. Menus accommodate vegetarian, kosher, low-sodium, and other special dietary plans, and guest meals can be arranged. Residents can choose anytime dining at the café or bistro, request room service when preferred, or participate in special dining programs and themed events that vary throughout the month.
Daily life is supported by a robust activity schedule that includes brain fitness software, live music, theater or dance performances, educational speakers, fitness and walking clubs, cooking and gardening clubs, Tai Chi, Wii bowling, trivia, art classes, holiday parties, happy hours, wine tastings, and organized day trips. Faith-based services, reminiscence and sensory programs, intergenerational events, swimming, and an activity center with indoor and outdoor walking paths round out the options, helping residents stay engaged and socially connected.
