Comforts of Home – Hudson II offers both Assisted Living and Memory Care. Residents who need everyday help with bathing, dressing, or medication reminders receive support in the Assisted Living program, while individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias have a secure, structured setting in the Memory Care neighborhood. Both programs are designed to let residents stay in one community even if their needs change over time.
Additional clinical resources back up those primary care types. Short-term or respite stays are available for families needing temporary support, and diabetes management is handled by staff trained to monitor blood sugar and coordinate insulin therapy. A speech therapist is on call to help residents maintain or regain communication and swallowing abilities. An activity director coordinates daily programming, and on-site professionals provide incontinence and ambulatory care, hospice oversight, medication management, and routine visits from physical, occupational, and speech therapists, as well as a dentist and podiatrist. These services allow many residents to avoid outside appointments and receive treatment without leaving the building.
Private and companion suites come in several layouts. Some have views of landscaped outdoor areas, others are closer to common rooms or courtyards, and a number feature wheelchair-accessible showers for easier personal care. Because configurations vary, not every unit includes every feature, so prospective residents should review specific floor plans during a tour.
Meals are prepared on site and served three times a day in the communal dining room. Menus are designed to meet general nutritional guidelines for older adults, with adjustments available for physician-ordered or diabetic diets. Staff monitor residents who need cuing or assistance at mealtimes, and snacks are accessible between meals.
Residents have access to high-speed internet in common areas and, where infrastructure allows, in their rooms. The landscaped communal gardens offer places to sit, walk, or join planned outdoor activities when weather permits.
