Residents who are largely independent can choose an independent living arrangement with no routine clinical supports, while individuals living with dementia can move into residences designed to address memory-related needs. For the memory-care population, staff structure daily routines, cue activities and monitor safety to mitigate confusion and wandering. Both groups benefit from basic health oversight and coordination with outside medical providers, but families should note that the community does not advertise on-site nursing or skilled nursing services.

Daily living help is available on an as-needed basis. Team members, all of whom have passed background checks, can step in for bathing, dressing, eating and toileting when residents are unable to complete these tasks on their own. Transfer help is offered for people who rely on either a walker or a wheelchair. An activity director plans cognitive, physical and social programs that complement each resident’s care plan and provide meaningful engagement throughout the week.

Apartments vary in layout and finish, but most feature a private bathroom and a kitchenette, and some include independent temperature controls, cable service, the option to paint or decorate, or a private patio or balcony. Because not every unit comes with every feature, prospective residents should ask to see the exact apartment being considered. Scheduled snacks supplement three daily meals, and the culinary staff aims to balance resident preferences with nutrition guidelines.

Independent living residents can take advantage of a weekly laundry service that includes washing, drying and folding of personal items and linens. This service is coordinated with apartment cleaning so that clothing and bedding are returned and put away promptly, reducing household chores for seniors who prefer to spend their time elsewhere in the community.

The campus offers resident parking, an exercise room, internet access in common areas, a library and media center, a barber and beauty shop, and additional storage options. Stair glides support safe movement between levels, and outdoor patios or balconies provide fresh air gathering spots. Pets are allowed; it's a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
