Our House Memory Care – Eau Claire is a memory-care-only community that concentrates its resources on residents who have Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia. The team provides 24-hour memory care supported by short-term respite stays, diabetes monitoring and management, and access to a speech therapist for residents who need help with communication or swallowing concerns.
The building is secured, and entry and exit points are monitored to reduce wandering risks. Residents have on-site access to incontinence and ambulatory care, hospice services, medication management, and therapies delivered by occupational and physical therapists. A consulting podiatrist visits to address foot health, and the environment is laid out specifically to accommodate memory loss with cues and clear sightlines.
Private and companion suites are available, and some residences include wheelchair-accessible showers, patio or garden views, and proximity to a central fireplace. Pet-friendly policies allow many residents to keep small animals, and outdoor areas, a piano or organ, and on-site parking add to day-to-day convenience. Not every room has every feature, so prospective residents should confirm details during a tour.
Meals are provided three times daily in a common dining room designed for easy navigation and minimal distractions. Staff members accommodate physician-ordered diets and texture modifications and can assist with feeding when needed. Snacks and beverages are available throughout the day.
An activity center anchors the community’s programming, which includes raised garden beds, live music performances, birthday parties, dances, and regular social outings in Eau Claire and surrounding areas. Residents may read or browse the internet in the library and computer lounge, and scheduled time outdoors supports mobility and fresh-air breaks.
