Harmony at White Oaks offers both Assisted Living and Memory Care, allowing residents to remain on one campus even if needs change. The team is equipped to care for people who wander at any time of day, experience behavioral symptoms, or stay awake through the night. Oxygen management, special diets, and diabetic care—whether by oral medication, injections, or sliding scale—are routinely provided. Staff members are comfortable serving residents under 60 years old and can continue caring for people who progress to advanced dementia. On-site podiatry and audiology clinics reduce the need for off-campus medical trips, while a nurse is present at the community 24 hours a day and supported by an on-call nurse at all times.
Additional safeguards include background-checked employees, an awake night shift, door alarms, Wander Guard technology, and pull cords that can alert staff or dial 911 directly. Residents who need hands-on help receive full assistance with bathing, dressing, and toileting, and can count on some physical cueing or setup for meals. Mobility supports range from simple walker use to wheelchair assistance, one- or two-person transfers, and full mechanical lift service when required. Continuous staff coverage and electronic security help maintain a consistent, monitored environment.
Apartments may feature a kitchenette, cable service, in-unit laundry, and housekeeping, and scheduled laundry is available for those who prefer it handled by staff; however, not every unit includes every listed feature. Independent Living residents, when present, can purchase housekeeping and laundry services on an as-needed basis, giving them the option to maintain autonomy while still receiving support.
Dining options include a set daily menu, made-to-order selections, all-day snacks, room service, and a reservable private dining room for family meals. The culinary team manages physician-ordered diets, puree textures, and thickened liquids to support safety and nutrition goals.
Residents have access to surface parking, outdoor smoking areas, wheelchair-accessible common spaces, a barber and beauty shop, exercise and wellness rooms, a movie theater, internet, a library, and landscaped communal gardens. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed. Public transportation stops are nearby, making off-campus errands and visits straightforward.
