Wheatland Village offers three levels of residential care—Independent Living for those who want maintenance-free living with optional support, Assisted Living for residents who need help with daily activities, and a secured Memory Care program designed for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia. The secured setting gives Memory Care residents consistent supervision and controlled access, while also allowing couples with different support needs to remain on the same campus.
Extensive on-site clinical resources are in place to minimize outside appointments and keep residents well monitored. Licensed nurses manage medications, monitor chronic conditions, and coordinate with physicians. Physical, occupational, and speech therapists provide rehabilitation services in the community, and a massage therapist, podiatrist, and hospice team are available as needs change. Staff are trained in diabetes management, incontinence support, and ambulatory assistance. The 24-hour secured environment, combined with focused Memory Care services and dedicated diabetes oversight, supports both safety and rapid response to health changes.
Apartments are available in multiple floor plans, all equipped with private baths, emergency call systems, and wheelchair-accessible showers in most—but not all—units. Some residences open to landscaped outdoor areas, and select apartments accommodate small pets. Limited on-site parking is offered for residents who still drive, though availability can vary by unit and care level.
Daily meals are prepared by the culinary team and served restaurant-style in multiple dining rooms, with room service for those who prefer to eat privately. Menus rotate regularly and include vegetarian entrees alongside standard options, with portion control and carbohydrate monitoring available for residents managing diabetes. Snacks and hydration stations are placed throughout the community to support balanced nutrition.
Recreational amenities include an activity center for arts, fitness, and lifelong learning classes, as well as organized social outings to local attractions. Residents can participate in special-interest clubs and community groups, and outdoor areas are open for supervised or independent use depending on individual care plans. Routine programming is structured to accommodate varying mobility levels so that Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care residents all have access to appropriate social engagement.
