Brookdale Stanwood provides three levels of care—Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care—allowing residents to move between service tiers without leaving the community. The Memory Care program is designed for residents who wander during the day or night and for those at risk of elopement or combative behaviors, and it also supports advanced dementia conditions. Care plans are flexible and can accommodate residents who simply need medication reminders as well as those who require 24-hour oversight due to complex cognitive or physical needs.

Clinical support is available throughout the day and night. An awake night-shift team monitors safety, while 12- to 16-hour on-site nursing coverage handles routine health issues, medication management, and hospice coordination. Physical, occupational, and podiatry services come to the community, and apartments are outfitted to accommodate memory care needs. Staff can provide full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting, and they are trained in incontinence and ambulatory care. Transfer support ranges from standby help for walker users to two-person or Hoyer-lift transfers for non-ambulatory residents.

Apartments vary in size and layout and may include kitchenettes, balconies or patios, fireplaces, cable, Wi-Fi, and wheelchair-accessible showers. Some residences sit near landscaped grounds, outdoor walking areas, or the central fireside living room, while others are closer to the library and computer lounge. Surface parking and guest suites are available, and the community is pet-friendly; however, not all floor plans include every listed feature, and availability can change.

Meals are prepared by a professional chef and served restaurant-style with an all-day dining option. Menus accommodate special diets, vegetarian requests, and texture modifications, and guest meals can be arranged so families can dine with residents. The kitchen team coordinates closely with nursing staff to meet physician-ordered dietary restrictions.

Resident amenities include surface parking, a barber and beauty shop, high-speed internet access, communal gardens, a chapel, café/bistro, billiards area, concierge service, fireside living room, game room, guest suites, library, fitness center, and piano. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
