Dungeness Courte Memory Care provides a single focus on memory care, including support for residents living with early to advanced stages of dementia. The team is equipped to manage wandering behaviors at any time of day, elopement risk, sleeplessness, and other dementia-related challenges. Clinical capabilities cover wound care, oxygen management, and detailed diabetic oversight whether the resident uses oral medications, injections, or a sliding scale regimen. Special diets are routinely prepared to meet physician orders.
Care is reinforced by an RN or LPN on site around the clock and an additional nurse on call 24 hours a day. All employees undergo background checks, night staff remain awake, and doors are alarmed with the rear grounds fully fenced. On-site services include visiting podiatrists, audiology, dental care, and space for therapy sessions, and the community accepts residents with psychiatric conditions. Staff provide full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting. Mobility needs are met with standby help, one- or two-person transfers, Hoyer lifts, and support for residents who are bed bound.
Residents live in rooms that may include a private bathroom, basic furnishings, cable service, and the option to personalize with paint or décor. Housekeeping and scheduled laundry are handled by staff. Not every accommodation offers every feature, so families should verify the specific room details during a visit.
Meals are served three times daily from a set menu, with the option to order alternates. Snacks are available throughout the day, and meals can be delivered to the room or enjoyed in a private dining space for family gatherings. The kitchen accommodates gluten-free, vegetarian, mechanical-chopped, puréed, thickened-liquid, and other physician-ordered modifications to support each resident’s health plan.
Dungeness Courte is wheelchair accessible throughout and offers a barber and beauty shop, a movie room, a wellness center, internet access, and communal gardens for supervised outdoor time. Residents can attend on-site religious services and use the library for quiet reading or small group activities.
