Hearthstone in Seattle offers three primary levels of care—Assisted Living, Independent Living, and specialized Memory Care—within a secured community. Residents who need minimal support can choose Independent Living, while those who require daily assistance with activities of daily living receive structured help under the Assisted Living program. The Memory Care neighborhood is designed for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease or other cognitive conditions and is secured to promote safety and reduce wandering.
The community maintains on-site clinical capabilities that allow many residents to avoid frequent trips off campus. Short-term rehabilitation is available for individuals recovering from illness or surgery, supported by a physician who makes regular rounds and a nursing team that coordinates diabetes oversight, pain control, wound care, and medication management. Physical, occupational, and speech therapists provide therapy on site, supplemented by orthopedic and ambulatory care, incontinence support, and hospice services when needed. Residents also have access to visiting or on-site specialists such as a podiatrist, dentist, massage therapist, and a range of nurses who help manage complex care plans and coordinate with outside providers.
Apartments and suites vary in size and layout, and not every unit includes every feature. Available options may include kitchenettes for light meal preparation, wheelchair-accessible showers, individual climate control, cable or satellite TV, and high-speed Wi-Fi. Many residences offer outdoor connections such as a balcony, patio, or deck, and the campus provides common areas like a central fireplace, piano or organ space, and landscaped outdoor areas. The community is pet-friendly, and utilities and parking are typically included in the monthly fee, subject to availability and apartment type.
Dining is handled by a professional chef and culinary team that serves restaurant-style meals with all-day dining flexibility. Menus rotate through international dishes and can be modified for low-sodium, no-sugar, or vegan requirements. Chef-prepared meals are available three times daily, and guests can purchase meals to eat with residents. Special accommodations are made for residents who need texture-modified diets or timed snacks coordinated with medical needs.
Residents have access to an activity center, a library and computer lounge, and both indoor and outdoor walking paths, including raised garden beds for light gardening. Scheduled programming features intergenerational projects, hobby clubs, birthday celebrations, happy hour socials, arts studio time, live music, yoga and chair yoga sessions, and reminiscence or sensory-based programs tailored for Memory Care participants. The community also organizes social outings and maintains a woodworking shop and a swimming pool for exercise and recreation.
