Aegis Living Laurelhurst offers three levels of residency—Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care—with medical oversight that covers wandering behaviors in the morning or evening, elopement risk, residents who stay up all night, oxygen use, special diets, and diabetics on oral medications. The community is equipped to support advanced dementia conditions and can provide full assistance with bathing, dressing, and toileting, plus some physical help at mealtime. Residents who use walkers, wheelchairs, or who require standby, one-person, two-person, or full Hoyer-lift transfers, including bed-bound care, are accepted.
A registered nurse or licensed practical nurse is on staff, and all employees undergo background checks. An awake night shift, 24-hour staffing, door alarms, fenced grounds, and WanderGuard technology are in place to reduce risk and enhance safety. A pull-cord alert system links directly to caregivers. An activity director coordinates daily programming, and on-site podiatry and a therapy room add convenient medical and rehabilitation options without leaving the building.
Living quarters range from studios to larger layouts; some feature private bathrooms, kitchenettes, independent temperature controls, and the option to paint or decorate. Cable, housekeeping, and scheduled laundry are included, though not every unit has all listed features. Residents in Independent Living receive medication-management monitoring, regular housekeeping, laundry service, and can opt into a monthly meal plan for added convenience.
Meals are served from a set menu or made to order, and snacks are available throughout the day. Room service and a private dining room accommodate in-room dining or family gatherings. Dietary modifications such as gluten-free, mechanical-chopped, puréed, thickened-liquid, and vegetarian meals can be prepared to meet physician directives or resident preference.
Amenities include resident parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber and beauty shop, exercise room, movie room, internet access, communal gardens, on-site religious services, concierge assistance, a library, and special-interest clubs. The property is close to public transportation, and a community shuttle is available for medical appointments only.
