Deer Ridge is a dedicated Memory Care community equipped to manage a broad spectrum of dementia-related needs. The staff is trained to respond to residents who wander at any hour, exhibit exit-seeking behavior, show combative or other challenging behaviors, or stay awake through the night. Medical oversight extends to wound care, oxygen management, specialized diets, and diabetes care that covers oral medications, insulin injections, and sliding-scale regimens. Residents under 60 years of age with advanced dementia conditions are also accepted.
A licensed nurse is on site 24 hours a day, backed by round-the-clock security personnel. Safety measures include a fenced rear area, Wander Guard technology, and in-room pull cords that alert staff immediately. On-site podiatry visits reduce the need for outside appointments. The team provides full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting, and they support mobility with standby oversight, one-person transfers, and the use of walkers and wheelchairs.
Resident accommodations are available in several layouts, some offering private bathrooms, furnished rooms, independent temperature controls, and cable connections; not every unit includes every feature, so prospective residents should confirm specifics when touring.
Dining operates on a set menu with routine offerings, but the kitchen will modify meals to meet physician-ordered diets and personal preferences. Snacks are available outside scheduled meal times to help manage blood-sugar levels or late-night appetites.
The property is fully wheelchair accessible and features an on-site barber and beauty shop, a wellness center, and scheduled transportation. Its location across from the Booth Gardner Parkinson’s Care Center and close proximity to public transit make outside medical appointments and family visits more convenient.
