Fairwinds – Brighton Court provides both Assisted Living and Independent Living, with medical oversight designed to keep residents stable and supported. Licensed nurses manage oxygen therapy, special diets, and blood-glucose monitoring for residents who rely on oral diabetic medications. Mild dementia conditions are accepted, and the clinical team tailors care plans to each person’s cognitive and physical needs. On-site podiatry and dental clinics reduce the need for outside appointments, and routine health checks help residents and families stay informed about changing conditions.
Beyond medical treatment, the community maintains a 24-hour staff, including awake night personnel, to respond quickly through pull-cord stations and personal emergency response systems. An RN or LPN is on duty to adjust medications, coordinate physician orders, and supervise care aides who assist with bathing, dressing, and toileting at the full-assistance level or offer standby help with meals. Residents who walk independently, use a walker or wheelchair, or need a one-person transfer are all accommodated. A full-time activity director schedules daily programming that complements the wellness center, and security staff monitor the property around the clock.
Apartments include a private bathroom and a kitchenette in many—but not all—units, and residents may paint or decorate their space to suit personal tastes. Basic cable and regular housekeeping are provided, with linen service and maintenance delivered on schedule.
Meals are prepared to order, and the kitchen staff can modify menus for diabetics, low-sodium requirements, vegetarian preferences, or other physician-directed diets. Restaurant-style service is available in the main dining room, while snacks, in-room trays, and a private dining space for family gatherings can be arranged. Independent Living residents may choose a monthly meal plan and can also receive medication-management monitoring, housekeeping, and laundry services for an additional fee.
Resident parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, an exercise room, movie theater, barber and beauty shop, wellness center, concierge desk, internet access, and landscaped communal gardens round out the on-site amenities. Scheduled transportation is available for shopping, appointments, and outings, smoking is permitted outside, and pets are allowed.
