P&M Among Friends operates as a residential care home and is equipped to manage a wide range of medical and behavioral needs. The team cares for residents who wander at any time of day, present elopement risks, display combative or other challenging behaviors, or stay awake through the night. Staff handle wound care, oxygen therapy, special diets, and advanced dementia conditions. The community also supports adults under 60 and provides full diabetic management, including oral medications, injections, and sliding-scale insulin.
A registered nurse or licensed practical nurse is on staff, and a nurse is on call around the clock. Security is continuous with staff on site 24/7, a fenced rear area, alarmed doors, and a personal emergency response system that alerts caregivers. A home doctor makes routine and as-needed visits. Residents receive full assistance with bathing, eating, dressing, and toileting. Transfer support spans walkers, wheelchairs, standby help, one-person and two-person transfers, full Hoyer lifts, and care for bed-bound individuals.
Private and semi-private rooms are available with basic furnishings or the option to bring personal items and décor. Cable television, housekeeping, and laundry service are offered, although not every room includes each feature.
Meals follow a set menu with the option to order alternative selections. Snacks are available throughout the day, and the kitchen staff can modify or manage diets to meet physician orders or resident preferences.
Common areas and resident rooms are wheelchair accessible, and internet access is provided for personal use and virtual visits with family.
