La Conner Retirement Inn offers both Assisted Living and Independent Living. Residents who need medical oversight can receive support for oxygen therapy, special diets, diabetes care (oral medications, insulin injections, and sliding scale), and care for residents younger than 60. The community is also prepared to help individuals living with mild dementia, ensuring continuity of care without moving to a separate memory unit.
A registered nurse or licensed practical nurse is on staff, and a nurse is on call around the clock. Staff members deliver medication management, ambulatory assistance, incontinence care, pulmonary services, and hospice coordination. Physical therapy, massage therapy, podiatry, and other clinical services can be scheduled on site. For daily tasks, staff can provide full assistance with bathing, dressing, and toileting, as well as standby supervision for eating. Transfers are handled for residents who use walkers, wheelchairs, or who need one-person assistance. The community maintains 24-hour security, uses PERS alert systems, and has an activity director planning daily programs.
Private suites are available, and some include a private bathroom, cable service, and regular housekeeping. Floor plans vary, so not every room includes every feature; families are encouraged to review specific layouts during a tour.
Dining is prepared to order, with snacks available throughout the day. A private dining room is set aside for family gatherings or special events. The kitchen staff manages doctor-ordered diets, texture modifications, and carbohydrate-controlled meals for diabetic residents.
Amenities include resident parking, outdoor smoking areas, wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber and beauty shop, exercise room, movie room, internet access, communal gardens, and on-site religious services. Pets are allowed, and it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed. Public transportation stops are nearby for residents and visitors.
