Ciel of Issaquah concentrates on Memory Care and is equipped to handle a wide range of clinical needs common to cognitive decline. The team is prepared for residents who wander at any time of day, present elopement risks, or exhibit combative or other behavioral challenges. Staff can also manage oxygen therapy, special diets, and every level of diabetic care, from oral medications to injections and sliding-scale insulin. The community accepts residents with advanced dementia as well.
A registered nurse or licensed practical nurse is on site, and a nurse is on call around the clock. Door alarms and a fenced rear area add an extra layer of security. Residents receive full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting, and the staff can accommodate mobility needs ranging from standby help with a walker to two-person or Hoyer-lift transfers. On-site medical services include podiatry and EmpowerMe Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy, and a full-time Activity Director coordinates daily engagement tailored to cognitive ability.
Apartments can include a private bathroom, individual climate controls, cable service, and the option to paint or decorate the room, although not every unit has every feature. Housekeeping and maintenance are provided, and laundry service is available for an additional fee or bundled in certain plans.
Dining follows an on-order approach, so residents choose meals at the time of service rather than in advance. Snacks are available throughout the day, and the kitchen accommodates doctor-ordered diet modifications, including low-sugar, low-sodium, and texture-adjusted menus. Independent Living residents may arrange medication-management monitoring, weekly housekeeping, and laundry to suit their personal schedules.
Amenities include a barber and beauty salon, a movie room, high-speed internet access, scheduled transportation, and on-site religious services. Short-term respite stays are welcome with a one-week minimum. Pets are allowed, and it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
