The Lodge at Mallard’s Landing provides Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care, including programs for residents with advanced dementia. Clinical oversight addresses common medical concerns such as wandering during the day or night, elopement risk, oxygen therapy, and physician-ordered special diets. Residents who are awake overnight receive supervision, and memory-care plans are adjusted for changing cognitive and behavioral needs.
Registered and licensed nurses are on staff, with a nurse on call 24 hours a day. Background-checked caregivers work an awake night shift, and the grounds are secured by fencing, door alarms, and Wander Guard technology; pull cords and personal emergency response systems alert staff at any hour. On-site services include podiatry, dental visits, and a therapy room. Caregivers can provide full assistance with bathing, eating, dressing, and toileting, and they handle transfers for residents who use a walker, wheelchair, require standby help, or need a one-person lift.
Apartments offer options such as a private bathroom, kitchenette, independent temperature controls, cable, in-unit laundry, and permission to paint or decorate, but not every unit includes every feature. Housekeeping and linen service are provided, and Independent Living residents can receive weekly housekeeping, laundry, and a monthly meal plan. The dining program supplies set menus, made-to-order dishes, all-day snacks, in-room service, and a private dining room for family events. Therapeutic diets—gluten-free, mechanical-chop, puréed, thickened liquids, and vegetarian—are available on request.
Community amenities include resident parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, an exercise room, movie room, library, internet access, barber and beauty services, communal gardens, and on-site religious services. Smoking is permitted outdoors. Scheduled transportation, proximity to public transit, and a town-car service support local appointments and outings. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
