Cedar Creek is a dedicated Memory Care community prepared to manage the full spectrum of dementia-related needs, including advanced stages. Residents who wander—whether during the day or at night—receive structured supervision, and protocols are in place for elopement risk, combative behaviors, or other challenging actions. Medical oversight extends to wound care, oxygen therapy, and strict adherence to physician-ordered diets. Diabetes care ranges from oral medications to injections and sliding-scale insulin, and special diets are executed as prescribed.
The community maintains an RN or LPN on every shift, with a nurse on site 24 hours a day and an awake night staff to handle emergencies. Security measures include door alarms, a fenced rear area, and call cords that connect directly to staff. A visiting podiatrist addresses foot health needs on site. Residents who need full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, or toileting receive hands-on support, and transfer help is available for walkers, wheelchairs, standby needs, one- or two-person assists, Hoyer lifts, and bed-bound situations.
Apartments are offered in multiple layouts; some have private bathrooms, some include a kitchenette, and some feature independent temperature controls. Not every accommodation includes every feature, so family members can match unit specifics to individual needs.
Meals follow a set menu served at scheduled times, with alternate selections for therapeutic diets when required. Snacks are available throughout the day, and staff monitor nutritional intake for residents who need prompting or assistance.
Amenities include wheelchair-accessible common areas, an on-site barber and beauty shop, a movie room, community-wide internet access, and scheduled transportation for appointments and outings. Pets are allowed. It’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
