The Park at Belle Harbour, opening early winter 2024 in Bellevue, offers Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care in one setting. The clinical program is built to manage residents who wander during the day or night, present elopement risk, demonstrate combative or other behavioral issues, stay awake overnight, or live with advanced dementia. Nurses are trained to follow special diets, perform wound care, administer oxygen, and support residents under 60 years old. Diabetes management covers oral medications, injections, and sliding-scale insulin, ensuring continuity of care as needs change.
A licensed nurse is on site 24 hours a day, and a dedicated night-shift team remains awake to respond to pull-cord or PERS alerts. Security personnel are present around the clock. An activity director coordinates therapeutic programming tailored to each level of care, while visiting podiatry rounds help reduce outside appointments. Staff provide full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting. Transfer assistance ranges from standby with a walker to two-person or mechanical (Hoyer) lifts, and care can continue if a resident becomes fully bed bound.
Private suites are planned with practical features such as in-room bathrooms, kitchenettes, independent temperature controls, and cable service, although not every unit will include every option. Residents may paint or decorate their space to suit personal preferences. For meals, the culinary team prepares dishes to order, keeps snacks available throughout the day, and follows physician-ordered diet modifications.
Dining rooms support social mealtimes, but room service is available when needed. Independent Living residents can opt for a monthly meal plan, and the building’s medication-management team offers monitoring for those who want reminders without a full care package. Weekly housekeeping is included for Independent Living, and added laundry or linen service can be arranged.
Amenities include resident parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, a rooftop garden terrace, an exercise room, wellness center, movie room, barber/beauty shop, and internet access throughout the building. Many units feature fireplaces or full kitchens, and select layouts come with in-unit washer and dryer. Scheduled transportation and proximity to public transit make local appointments and shopping convenient. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
