The Wyatt House provides Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care, allowing residents to stay in one community as needs change. Clinical capabilities include wound care management, oxygen oversight, and specialized diets for a variety of conditions. Residents living with diabetes can be supported whether they use oral medications, injections, or follow a sliding-scale regimen, and the team is prepared to care for individuals with advanced dementia. On-site medical professionals can arrange visiting podiatry and dental services, ensuring routine foot care and oral health are addressed without leaving the building.
Around-the-clock support is built into daily operations. An RN or LPN is on staff, a nurse is on call 24 hours a day, and caregivers work awake night shifts. Background-checked employees monitor door-alarmed exits, respond to pull-cord and personal emergency response systems, and maintain continuous security coverage. Personal assistance is available for bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting, ranging from standby help to full assistance. Mobility support spans walker or wheelchair use through one-person, two-person, and full-body Hoyer lifts, with protocols in place for residents who are fully bedbound.
Apartments at The Wyatt House may offer a private bathroom, kitchenette, furnished setup, independent temperature controls, cable service, and the option to paint or decorate; however, not every unit includes every feature. Scheduled housekeeping and laundry services are part of the basic package, and maintenance takes care of routine repairs and safety checks. Residents who prefer Independent Living can opt for lighter service plans and pay only for the help they need.
Meals are prepared daily with both set menus and on-order choices, and diet modifications such as mechanical chopped meals, thickened liquids, vegetarian selections, and other physician-ordered diets are accommodated. Snacks are available throughout the day, and residents may choose in-room dining or reserve the private dining room for guests. A monthly meal plan tailored for Independent Living residents is offered, and those in this program can still access housekeeping and laundry services on a scheduled basis.
The community features resident parking, wheelchair-accessible pathways, an exercise room, movie room, barber and beauty shop, library, communal gardens, on-site religious services, concierge support, internet access, special-interest clubs, and shuttle transportation for medical appointments. Public transit is nearby for those who prefer to travel independently. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
