Wesley Homes Lea Hill offers three levels of residential care—Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care—so residents can remain on one campus even as their needs change. The health team is equipped to manage advanced dementia as well as behaviors such as wandering in the morning or evening, elopement risk, combative reactions, and residents who stay up throughout the night. Clinical support covers wound care, oxygen therapy, specialized diets, and diabetic management whether the resident uses oral medications, injections, or a sliding scale regimen. The community also admits adults under 60 when appropriate.
A licensed nurse (RN or LPN) is on staff and a nurse is on call 24 hours a day. An awake night shift, full-time activity director, and 24-hour security ensure that assistance is available at any hour. Residents have in-room pull cords and personal emergency response systems that alert staff immediately, and the grounds are monitored around the clock. On-site medical services include incontinence and ambulatory care. Caregivers can provide full assistance with bathing, eating, dressing, and toileting. Transfer help ranges from standby support for walker users to one-person, two-person, or Hoyer-lift transfers, and staff can care for individuals who are bed-bound.
Apartments may feature a private bathroom, kitchenette, individually controlled heating and cooling, and cable service; however, not every unit includes every feature, so it is best to verify specific layouts during a tour. Independent Living residents benefit from weekly housekeeping, personal laundry service, and building maintenance provided by the community.
Meals are prepared on site, and residents may order dishes as needed rather than following a rigid menu schedule. Snacks are available throughout the day, and the culinary team accommodates physician-ordered and preference-based diet modifications. Independent Living residents can choose a monthly meal plan that allows them to dine in the main restaurant while still having the option to cook in their own kitchenette.
On the amenity side, the campus supplies resident parking, outside smoking areas, a pet-friendly policy, full wheelchair accessibility, and scheduled transportation. A barber and beauty shop, exercise room, movie room, wellness center, internet access points, communal gardens, and on-site religious services round out the shared spaces. It’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
