Commonwealth Senior Living at Kings Grant House offers both Assisted Living and Memory Care, allowing residents to receive help with the day-to-day while remaining in the same community as their needs change. The health team is prepared to support residents who wander, are at risk for elopement, demonstrate combative or other behavioral issues, stay up all night, or live with advanced dementia. Ongoing clinical oversight is also available for wound care, oxygen therapy, special diets, and diabetes management whether handled by oral medication, injections, or sliding scale. Residents younger than 60 who meet the clinical criteria can be served.
Around-the-clock safety measures include an RN or LPN on site, a nurse on call 24 hours, awake night staff, background-checked employees, door alarms, fenced outdoor space, pull cords in apartments, and the option of a personal emergency response system. A visiting podiatrist is available on campus, and the community can provide full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting. Transfer help ranges from standby or one-person support to two-person transfers, Hoyer lifts, and care for bed-bound individuals. Residents who use walkers or wheelchairs are accommodated, and an activity director coordinates structured programs for both Assisted Living and Memory Care.
Accommodation options include suites with private bathrooms, independent temperature controls, cable access, and the ability to paint or decorate, although not every room includes every feature. Residents can choose layouts that match their preferences and care needs, and maintenance takes care of repairs and basic utilities except for phone service.
Meals are prepared three times daily with both set menus and on-order selections. Snacks are available throughout the day, and the culinary team manages physician-ordered diet modifications to support conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, or texture requirements.
Residents have access to parking, wheelchair-friendly common areas, a barber and beauty shop, movie room, communal gardens, and on-site religious services. Routine housekeeping, linen service, and optional personal laundry for a monthly fee are provided. Shared spaces include living rooms, dining rooms, TV lounges, activity rooms, and memory-care life-stations, with Wi-Fi throughout the property. Kitchenettes are available in Assisted Living, respite stays can be arranged, and transportation is scheduled for medical appointments or local errands. Visiting physicians and therapy providers come to the building and bill insurance or private pay. The Smile Program, community newsletter, and technology tools keep families informed, guest meals are offered, and all utilities except phone are covered. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
