The Haven @ Lakeway offers both Assisted Living and Residential Care Home options, each designed to manage high-acuity medical needs. The community accepts residents who wander day or night, have a history of elopement, display combative or other behavioral issues, require wound care, oxygen, special diets, or diabetes management by oral medications, injections, or sliding scale. Individuals under 60 years old and those living with advanced dementia are also welcomed. Around-the-clock nurses and licensed staff coordinate with physicians to ensure that clinical directives are followed without delay.
To reinforce safety, all employees undergo background checks, and an awake night shift monitors door-alarmed exits equipped with Wander Guard technology. An RN or LPN is on duty, and visiting podiatry services are scheduled onsite; the community will also admit residents with psychiatric diagnoses. Team members provide full assistance with bathing, eating, dressing, and toileting. Mobility support ranges from standby supervision to one- or two-person transfers and full Hoyer-lift transfers, accommodating walkers and wheelchairs.
Private and companion accommodations are available furnished, and families may add personal furniture, paint, or décor if preferred. Some, but not all, units include cable service, so it is best to verify specific room features during a tour.
Daily meals follow a set menu, yet residents can request on-order alternatives. Snacks are stocked throughout the day, and the kitchen staff prepares therapeutic diets consistent with physician orders. Independent-living residents on the same campus can receive medication-management monitoring and weekly laundry service for an added fee.
Residents may smoke in designated outdoor areas, bring personal pets, use barrier-free common areas, and connect to community-wide internet. It’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
