Heritage Green and its dedicated memory-care neighborhood, Daybreak, provide two levels of residential support—Assisted Living for adults who want help with daily routines and a secure Memory Care program for people living with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias. Residents can transition between these care types without leaving the campus, allowing couples or individuals to receive only the amount of assistance they need while remaining in familiar surroundings.
Medical oversight is broad. Licensed nurses monitor chronic conditions such as diabetes and coordinate on-site physician visits, physical, occupational and speech therapy sessions, and scheduled podiatry checks. A secured environment and 24-hour staffing limit the risk of wandering while enabling quick response to emergencies. The community is equipped for ambulatory and incontinence care, medication management, hospice coordination and respite or short-term stays. Daybreak’s layout and programming are designed exclusively for memory retention and sensory cueing.
Apartments range in size and layout, and not every accommodation offers the same features, but options may include Wi-Fi, cable or satellite service, step-free access, and private baths designed for wheelchair maneuverability. Select residences look onto landscaped outdoor areas, and common spaces such as the central fireplace lounge, piano alcove and parking for personal vehicles are available to all residents.
Dining follows an all-day service model so residents can choose meal times that match personal schedules. The culinary team prepares standard, vegetarian, kosher, gluten-free, no-sugar and low-sodium menus. Guests may join for meals, and nutrition staff work with physicians and therapists to adjust textures or consistencies for safe swallowing.
Residents choose from a slate of recreational and therapeutic activities including Montessori-based programs, reminiscence groups, intergenerational visits, live music, fitness classes and social outings. The property maintains outdoor walking paths, raised garden beds, an activity center, library with computer access, swimming pool and organized clubs to support varied interests and cognitive abilities.
