Hessler Heights is an Independent Living community that combines a maintenance-free lifestyle with access to health services that many residents value. The community supports residents managing diabetes with oral medications and is able to accommodate individuals with mild dementia conditions. On-site clinical resources include licensed nurses who provide medication management, coordination with hospice when needed, and regular visits from physical and occupational therapists, giving residents a direct path to rehabilitative or palliative care without leaving the campus.
Daily safety and personal support augment the medical services. All employees are background-checked, an Activity Director organizes structured engagement, and staff are on site around the clock with monitored security. Residents who require help with bathing, dressing, eating, or toileting can request these self-care services, and team members are trained to assist with walker or wheelchair transfers to reduce fall risk.
Apartments range from studios to larger one-bedrooms, some with private bathrooms, kitchenettes, or in-unit laundry; others feature furnished layouts, independent temperature controls, cable, and the option to paint or decorate. Because floor plans differ, not every unit includes every feature, so touring in person is recommended. Housekeeping and scheduled laundry are provided, and residents may select additional independent-living services such as medication-management monitoring, weekly housekeeping, personal laundry, and a monthly meal plan to simplify day-to-day routines.
Dining is flexible. Three chef-prepared meals are offered each day from either a set menu or made-to-order selections, with snacks available around the clock. Meals can be taken in the main restaurant, a private dining room for family gatherings, or delivered to the apartment for in-room service. The kitchen can accommodate gluten-free, vegetarian, mechanical-chopped, puréed, and thickened-liquid diets, and staff are trained to adjust portions and textures to physician orders.
Residents have access to on-site parking, outdoor smoking areas, wheelchair-accessible common spaces, and a concierge who schedules transportation or appointments. Amenities include a pool, wellness center, exercise room, movie theater, library, communal gardens, barbershop/beauty salon, internet access throughout the campus, special-interest clubs, and on-site religious services. A stair glide is installed in select areas for added mobility support, and pets are welcome; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
