Chesapeake Place Senior Living provides both Assisted Living and Memory Care, allowing residents to remain on the same campus even if their needs change. The community is equipped to serve individuals who wander, require wound care, use oxygen, follow special diets, are under 60 years old, or manage diabetes with oral medication. Residents living with mild dementia receive targeted support within a secure setting that is designed to accommodate memory loss.
Around-the-clock clinical oversight is built into daily operations. A registered nurse or licensed practical nurse is on site, with a nurse on call 24 hours a day. Night-shift caregivers remain awake, and pull-cord alert systems connect residents directly to staff. On-site medical options include memory-focused programming, incontinence and ambulatory care, hospice coordination, medication management, and visits from occupational therapists, physical therapists, podiatrists, and nurses. Personal care assistance covers bathing, eating, dressing, and toileting when a resident needs some physical help. Transfer support ranges from standby assistance to one-person transfers, and staff are familiar with walker and wheelchair use.
Apartments are offered in several layouts, some featuring private bathrooms, kitchenettes, independent temperature controls, and cable access. Because floor plans vary, not every unit includes all of these features, so families can choose the combination that fits their budget and preferences. Housekeeping, maintenance, and laundry are handled by staff, reducing daily responsibilities for residents.
Meals follow a set menu prepared three times daily, with snacks available between dining periods. The culinary team manages special diets, including those required for diabetes, cardiac conditions, or texture modifications. Independent Living residents on campus may choose an optional monthly meal plan while still keeping a kitchenette for light cooking. Medication-management monitoring, weekly housekeeping, and laundry services are also available to Independent Living tenants.
Residents have access to a range of common spaces and conveniences, including on-site parking, wheelchair-accessible walkways, a barber and beauty shop, communal gardens, and regularly scheduled religious services. Social areas consist of a family gathering room, activity room, living room with fireplace, library, bistro, patio, courtyard, private dining room for family events, covered entrances, and rooms with direct outdoor access. A small country store lets residents shop for everyday items without leaving campus.
