Sunrise of Bluemont Park provides Assisted Living and Memory Care, including support for advanced dementia conditions. The care team manages residents who wander day or night, present elopement risks, or exhibit combative or other behavioral issues. Nurses monitor and treat chronic medical needs such as wound care, oxygen therapy, special diets, and diabetes—whether residents use oral medications, injections, or a sliding-scale regimen. Younger adults under 60 who need support are also accepted, and care plans are adjusted to meet their medical profiles.
Round-the-clock safety and clinical oversight are built into daily operations. A registered nurse or licensed practical nurse is on site, with a nurse on call 24 hours. All staff complete background checks, and the night shift remains awake. The community uses door alarms, wander guards, pull cords, and PERS devices to alert staff quickly. Podiatry, audiology, dental services, and a dedicated therapy room are available on-site, and residents with psychiatric conditions are accepted. Caregivers can provide full assistance with bathing, eating, dressing, and toileting, and can accommodate transfers ranging from walker support to two-person or full Hoyer-lift moves.
Residences may feature a private bathroom, kitchenette, cable service, and in-unit laundry, and residents may paint or decorate their rooms; however, not every apartment includes every feature. Housekeeping and scheduled laundry services are provided for all units to keep spaces clean and comfortable.
Dining follows an on-order approach with snacks available throughout the day, optional in-room service, and a private dining room for family events. The culinary team manages physician-ordered diet modifications, including mechanical-chopped meals, purees, and thickened liquids.
Community amenities include resident parking, wheelchair accessibility, an exercise room, movie room, library, internet access, communal gardens, on-site religious services, a barber/beauty shop, concierge service, special-interest clubs, and designated outdoor smoking areas. Transportation options cover scheduled medical shuttles and proximity to public transportation.
