Valley Terrace provides both Assisted Living and Memory Care, giving residents access to a full spectrum of clinical oversight. The team is prepared for residents who wander during the day or night, present elopement risks, show challenging behaviors, remain awake overnight, or live with advanced dementia. Nurses monitor wound care, oxygen use, and special diets and can follow diabetic treatment plans whether they rely on oral medications, injections, or sliding-scale insulin. The community also admits adults under 60 when appropriate, allowing younger residents to receive similar medical attention.
Around-the-clock nursing coverage includes an RN or LPN on site at all hours, backed by a nurse on call 24/7. Caregivers stay awake on the night shift, and every team member undergoes background checks. The building has door alarms, a fenced rear area, pull cords, and personal emergency response systems that link directly to staff. On-site medical services cover podiatry, audiology, dental visits, a therapy room, and psychiatric support. Valley Terrace can help with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting at a full-assistance level and can complete transfers that range from standby support and one-person help to two-person assistance or a full Hoyer lift.
Apartments may feature private bathrooms, kitchenettes, furnished living spaces, individual temperature controls, cable, housekeeping, and in-unit laundry, and residents are welcome to paint or decorate their rooms. Not every unit includes every feature, so families should verify specific layouts during a tour. Independent Living residents can opt for medication-management monitoring, weekly housekeeping, laundry service, and a monthly meal plan.
Meals are cooked to order, and snacks are available throughout the day. Residents may eat in the main dining room, schedule private family meals, or request in-room service as needed. The culinary staff manages therapeutic diets, texture modifications, and physician-ordered restrictions to align with each person’s care plan.
Valley Terrace offers resident parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber and beauty shop, exercise and movie rooms, a wellness center, internet access, communal gardens, an on-site chapel, a library, and a variety of clubs. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed. Outdoor smoking is permitted in designated areas. Scheduled transportation helps residents reach appointments, run errands, and attend local events.
