Escalante at Willow Creek in Sandy, Utah, delivers two levels of residential care: Assisted Living for those who need daily support and a secured Memory Care program designed for residents with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, including advanced conditions. Both settings accept individuals who wander or have elopement risk and are able to manage residents who use oxygen or require specialized diets.
Medical monitoring is reinforced by licensed nurses on staff, an activity director trained to adapt programs for cognitive loss, and a pull-cord alert system that brings assistance to the room. Podiatry is available on-site for routine foot and nail care. Staff can provide full assistance with bathing, dressing and toileting, and some physical help with eating. Transfers are accommodated for residents who ambulate with a walker or wheelchair, need standby cues, or require a one-person lift.
Apartments are available with private bathrooms and some include kitchenettes, independent temperature controls and the option to paint or decorate the room; cable service, housekeeping and scheduled laundry pickup are offered community-wide. Because layouts vary, not every residence has every feature.
Dining includes a set menu of daily meals, an on-order option for alternate selections, in-room service for those who prefer to eat privately, snacks throughout the day and a reservable private dining room for family visits. Therapeutic diet modifications are overseen by staff. Independent Living residents may choose medication-management monitoring, weekly housekeeping, laundry services and a monthly meal plan.
Amenities include resident parking, a wheelchair-accessible design, barber and beauty shop, exercise room, wellness center, internet access, communal gardens, on-site religious services, a library and scheduled shuttle trips for medical appointments only. Pets are allowed; it's a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
