Brookdale Sikes Lake offers two primary levels of care: Assisted Living and Memory Care. Residents who need short-term help can take advantage of respite stays, and specialized support is available for diabetes management and moderate dementia. The community’s Memory Care program is designed to accommodate residents who benefit from structured routines and safety measures, while Assisted Living residents receive help with daily tasks as needed.
Medical oversight is reinforced by 12- to 16-hour nursing coverage, awake staff on the night shift, and on-site services such as occupational therapy, speech therapy, ambulatory care, and hospice coordination. Staff can provide full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting, and they manage medications and incontinence care. Transfer help ranges from standby supervision to support with walkers or wheelchairs. An enclosed courtyard and a brain fitness program add secure spaces and cognitive engagement for Memory Care residents.
Residences are set up to balance privacy and support. Many units feature a private bathroom and cable access, though not every accommodation includes every feature. Layouts are arranged so caregivers can reach residents quickly while still giving each person personal space.
Meals follow a set menu, and the culinary team can modify diets for medical or personal reasons such as carbohydrate control for diabetes. Staff monitor nutritional intake and coordinate with clinical teams to ensure that each resident’s diet aligns with individual care plans.
Amenities include resident parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber and beauty shop, a movie room, a wellness center, internet access, and communal gardens for outdoor relaxation. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
