Garden Estates of Tyler offers Assisted Living and Independent Living programs, each designed to provide the level of help residents need while supporting as much autonomy as possible. The community can coordinate diabetes management, welcomes guests for respite or short-term stays, and has a speech therapist available for those who need communication or swallowing support.
Additional clinical resources are available on site, including nurses who handle medication management, incontinence and ambulatory care, and the development of personalized care plans. A visiting dentist, podiatrist, occupational therapist, and physical therapist help residents stay on top of preventive and rehabilitative needs, while hospice services are in place for end-of-life comfort. Memory care oversight is available for residents who develop cognitive challenges, and staff complete a daily up-and-about check to confirm each resident’s well-being.
Residences come in several floor plans with options such as private or companion layouts, kitchenettes, air conditioning, cable or satellite TV, wheelchair-accessible showers, and patio or other outdoor access. Some apartments feature a piano or organ for personal use, and parking is offered for residents who still drive. Pets are welcome subject to community guidelines. Because apartments vary, not every unit contains every listed feature.
Meals are prepared by a professional chef who uses seasonal, locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. Three daily meals plus snacks are provided, and an all-day dining option lets residents eat on their own schedule. Menu adaptations include no-sugar and low-sodium selections, and guest meals are available so family members can join residents at the table.
Recreational and social spaces include an activity center, library and computer lounge, swimming pool, and designated areas for clubs, fitness programs, live music, dances, happy hours, and birthday celebrations. Scheduled social outings give residents access to local events and shopping, and outdoor areas allow for fresh-air activities.
