Countryside Senior Living of Spring – Memory Care is dedicated exclusively to memory care, with programs and protocols in place for both early-stage and advanced dementia. The team is prepared to work with residents who wander during the day or night, those at risk for elopement, individuals who stay up through the night, and residents who use oxygen. Special dietary oversight is available, and staff monitor blood glucose for residents on either oral medications or insulin injections. This focused medical support allows the community to manage a wide range of cognitive and health-related challenges within one setting.
Staffing and security are structured around constant supervision and rapid clinical response. An RN or LPN is on staff, a nurse remains on call 24 hours a day, background checks are mandatory for all employees, and the night shift is awake. Door alarms, a fenced rear area, and round-the-clock security help prevent wandering outside safe areas. On-site services include medication coordination and management, incontinence and ambulatory care, therapy from occupational, physical, and podiatry specialists, plus routine visits from an optometrist and dentist. Residents receive hands-on help with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting when needed, and transfers can be accommodated for walkers, wheelchairs, standby assistance, or one- and two-person lifts.
Resident accommodations can be equipped with cable service and are covered by scheduled laundry service; those who use electric scooters should expect an additional fee. Floor plans and features vary, so not every suite includes every listed option.
Meals follow a set menu served three times daily, with snacks always available. Diet management can accommodate physician-ordered modifications such as mechanical-chopped, puréed, thickened-liquid, vegetarian, and other special diets, ensuring residents maintain proper nutrition without compromising safety.
Amenities round out daily life with wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber and beauty shop, internet access, and communal gardens that provide supervised outdoor time. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
