Saint Francis Nursing Home provides a single level of care—skilled nursing—designed for residents who require 24-hour medical attention and monitoring. Licensed nurses are on duty around the clock to administer medications, perform wound care, monitor vital signs and manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, heart disease and COPD. On-site physical, occupational and speech therapists deliver rehabilitative services for both short-term recovery and long-term maintenance, and a medical director oversees individualized care plans to ensure they remain current with each resident’s changing needs.
Additional support services include IV therapy, pain management, respiratory care and coordination with hospice when appropriate. Laboratory work, diagnostic imaging and pharmacy services are arranged on-site or through established local partners to minimize the need for outside appointments. The staff also schedules regular physician, dental, podiatry and mental-health visits, and transportation is provided for residents who must travel to dialysis centers or specialist consultations. A secured memory-care wing is not offered, but the team is trained in de-escalation and redirection techniques for residents who may show early cognitive decline.
Accommodations consist of a mix of private and semi-private rooms, each furnished with an adjustable hospital bed, bedside table and wardrobe. Some rooms add features such as individual climate controls, cable television and in-room Wi-Fi, while others rely on central systems; not all accommodations have all the features listed. Bathrooms are wheelchair-accessible and fitted with grab bars, and every bed is linked to a wall-mounted call system that alerts nursing staff within seconds. Weekly housekeeping and personal laundry are included, and small pets are allowed. It’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
Three nutritionally balanced meals are prepared daily in the main kitchen under the guidance of a registered dietitian. Residents can take their meals in a shared dining room that offers tableside service, or request in-room tray delivery if they prefer or require it. Menus accommodate diabetic, cardiac, renal and texture-modified diets, and staff provide feeding assistance when necessary. Between-meal snacks and hydration stations are available throughout the day, and residents are encouraged to give feedback so the culinary team can incorporate individual preferences and cultural dishes into the rotating menu.
