Creekside Alzheimer’s Special Care Center delivers dedicated memory care for residents living with all stages of dementia, including advanced conditions. The team is prepared to manage complex medical profiles common to cognitive decline, supporting individuals who wander day or night, exhibit elopement risk, display combative or other challenging behaviors, require oxygen, need special diets, or are diabetic on oral medication. All personal care tasks—bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting—can be provided with full assistance, and the staff is trained in a complete range of transfer techniques from standby help to two-person and Hoyer lifts.
The center maintains licensed nurses on site and an RN or LPN is available around the clock, backed by a nurse on call 24 hours a day. Employees are background-checked, an awake night shift is standard, and the building is secured with door alarms, a fenced outdoor area, and staff presence at all times. On-site medical services cover medication management, primary-care rounding, therapy sessions, acceptance of psychiatric conditions, and visits from a consulting psychiatrist. An activity director oversees daily programming designed for memory support while the clinical team coordinates directly with outside physicians and therapists to adjust care plans promptly.
Residences are offered furnished, and many include individual climate controls, cable service, and the option for residents or families to repaint or decorate to personal preference; availability of these features can vary by suite. Housekeeping and scheduled laundry are part of the base service, helping residents maintain a safe and orderly environment without added effort.
Meals follow a set menu designed by dietitians, with snacks available throughout the day and a private dining room for family visits or special occasions. The kitchen routinely manages diet modifications such as gluten-free, vegetarian, mechanical-chopped, puréed, and thickened-liquid plans to meet physician orders or personal preference, ensuring residents with swallowing issues or other dietary needs receive appropriate nutrition.
Community amenities include wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber and beauty shop, wellness center, internet access, communal gardens, a library, special-interest clubs, four backup generators for uninterrupted power, and scheduled transportation for medical appointments or outings. Pets are allowed; it's a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
