A Village Home 2 offers both Assisted Living and Residential Care Home options. The community accepts residents who wander during the day or night, are at risk for elopement, remain awake overnight, use oxygen, follow special diets, live with advanced dementia, or are under 60 and need care. Diabetes is managed whether a resident is on oral medication or insulin injections. On-site medical support includes scheduled visits from a rounding primary-care physician, podiatry, dental services, and thorough medication management.
Care is delivered around-the-clock with an awake night shift, 24-hour staffing, door alarms, fenced outdoor areas, and a nurse on call at all times. All team members undergo background checks, and personal emergency response systems alert staff when assistance is needed. Full assistance is available for bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting. Residents who walk with a cane or walker, use a wheelchair, or require one-person or two-person transfers receive the required help under direct supervision.
Private and semi-private rooms are available; some include a kitchenette, furnishings, cable service, and the option to paint or decorate to personal taste. Housekeeping and regularly scheduled laundry are provided for every resident, but not every unit has every listed feature, so it is best to confirm specific room details during a visit.
Meals follow a set menu prepared to accommodate physician-ordered diet modifications such as mechanical-chopped, pureed, thickened-liquid, vegetarian, and other special diets. Snacks are available throughout the day, and staff monitor each resident’s intake, providing full assistance with feeding when needed.
Community amenities include outdoor smoking areas, wheelchair-accessible common spaces, an on-site barber and beauty salon, internet access, communal gardens, and regularly scheduled religious services held on the premises.
