Legacy Oaks of Midlothian offers assisted-living services designed to keep residents medically stable and as independent as possible. Licensed nurses oversee care plans, monitor vital signs, and manage medications around the clock. The community coordinates with outside physicians, home health agencies, and pharmacies to make sure laboratory work, imaging, and prescription refills happen without delay. A 24-hour staff is trained to respond to emergencies, and each resident receives regular health assessments so care plans can be adjusted quickly if a condition changes.
Beyond direct medical oversight, residents receive routine support with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility. Physical, occupational, and speech therapy can be arranged on site, and scheduled transportation is available for off-site medical appointments. An emergency call system is monitored continuously, and staff perform safety checks throughout the day. Respite stays are accepted when space allows, giving short-term caregivers a break and offering residents access to the same services available to long-term occupants.
Accommodations include studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments with accessible bathrooms, walk-in showers, and emergency pull cords. Select units also have kitchenettes, individual climate controls, and washer-dryer hookups, but not every apartment includes all of these features. Cable television, Wi-Fi, and weekly housekeeping are standard. Small pets are allowed in designated units. It’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
Dining is provided three times a day in a central dining room with table service. Menus are created by culinary staff and reviewed for nutritional balance; heart-healthy, diabetic, and low-sodium options are always available. Snacks and beverages can be picked up throughout the day, and a private dining room can be reserved for family gatherings. Meals can be delivered to apartments during illness or recovery, but this service is not offered to every resident on a routine basis.
