Magnolia Assisted Living – Pearland delivers dedicated Memory Care for residents living with early to advanced dementia. The community is prepared for wandering behaviors during the day or at night, elopement risk, combative or other behavioral issues, and residents who are awake throughout the night. Staff are trained to manage oxygen therapy, special diets, and diabetes controlled with oral medications, and the residence is open to adults under 60 who need this level of support.
An RN or LPN is on site, with a nurse on call 24 hours a day. All employees undergo background checks, an awake night shift monitors doors with alarms, and the rear grounds are fully fenced. Podiatry, audiology, mobile dentistry, mobile psychiatry, mobile X-ray, and medication management are brought to the building, and the community accepts residents with psychiatric diagnoses. Direct care includes full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting. Transfer help ranges from standby support to two-person lifts for wheelchair users or those who walk with a device.
Private and companion rooms can be repainted or decorated to each resident’s preference. Cable service, flat-screen televisions, regular housekeeping, and scheduled laundry are offered, though not every unit has every feature.
Dining follows a set menu that rotates daily. The kitchen provides snacks and modifies textures for mechanical soft, chopped, puréed, or thickened-liquid diets. Gluten-free, vegetarian, and other physician-ordered meal plans are prepared as needed.
Residents have access to wheelchair-friendly common areas, a barber and beauty salon, internet throughout the building, communal gardens, and on-site religious services. Four fully equipped community bathrooms supplement the private spaces. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
