Carillon in Lubbock delivers three levels of residential care. Assisted Living residents receive help with activities of daily living, medication management, and 24-hour access to licensed nursing staff. Independent Living residents live with minimal assistance but have the reassurance of an emergency response system and on-site medical personnel should their needs change. The Memory Care program is designed for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia; it offers secured neighborhoods, structured daily routines, and staff trained in dementia-specific care techniques. Each level of care includes individualized service plans that are reviewed regularly and adjusted as residents’ conditions evolve.
Beyond the core care types, Carillon coordinates physical, occupational, and speech therapy right on site, and residents can schedule appointments with visiting physicians, podiatrists, and other specialists without leaving the community. A registered nurse oversees wellness programming, chronic-disease monitoring, and medication reviews. Transportation to outside medical appointments is available, and care staff handle coordination with hospitals or rehabilitation centers when higher levels of intervention are required. An electronic health record system helps ensure continuity of information among caregivers, and routine assessments help identify emerging health concerns early.
The community offers a range of accommodations, including studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments, as well as private suites within the Memory Care wing. Many units feature kitchenettes, walk-in showers with grab bars, individual climate controls, and emergency call systems, though not all accommodations come with every feature. Weekly housekeeping, linen service, basic utilities, and maintenance are typically included in the monthly fee. Carillon is pet-friendly, and it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
Dining services provide three daily meals prepared by professional culinary staff and monitored by a registered dietitian to meet nutritional standards. Residents choose from multiple menu options in a restaurant-style dining room, and modified diets—such as low-sodium, diabetic, or mechanical-soft—can be accommodated. Light snacks and beverages are available throughout the day, and Independent Living residents may opt for flexible meal packages rather than full meal plans. Room service and take-out meals are offered for those recovering from illness or preferring to dine privately, though these options are not included with every accommodation plan.
