WoodCreek Bend Memory Care is a memory-care–only community designed to serve residents who live with Alzheimer’s disease, other forms of dementia, or related cognitive conditions. The clinical team is prepared to manage complex needs such as wandering behaviors at any time of day, elopement risks, behavioral challenges, nighttime wakefulness, oxygen use, special diets, and diabetes controlled by oral medication. Care plans can be tailored for residents younger than 60 as well as for those with late-stage or advanced dementia.
Round-the-clock oversight comes from an on-site RN/LPN and a nurse who is on call 24 hours a day, backed by background-checked staff who remain awake throughout the night. Pull-cord alert systems, a secured perimeter, and fenced outdoor areas contribute to resident safety. On-site medical services include physician-directed memory care, incontinence and ambulatory care, medication management, hospice coordination, and regular visits by physical, occupational, and speech therapists, a podiatrist, dentist, and optometrist. Staff provide full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting, and can support walkers, wheelchairs, standby help, one-person or two-person transfers.
Accommodations consist of private suites that may include a private bathroom, basic furnishings, independent climate controls, cable, and the option for residents or families to paint or decorate the room. Not every suite contains every feature, so families should confirm specific room details during a tour.
Dining follows a set menu with snacks available throughout the day. The culinary team can modify textures, portion sizes, and ingredients to match physician-ordered diets or individual preferences, ensuring that residents with diabetes, swallowing concerns, or other medical requirements receive appropriate meals.
Amenities and services include outdoor smoking areas, pet-friendly policies, wheelchair-accessible common spaces, a barber and beauty salon, exercise room, movie room, internet access, communal gardens, on-site religious services, housekeeping, and continued medication management. It’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
