Aurora Living is licensed as a residential care home and is equipped to manage a range of medical needs. The team is trained to support residents who wander, individuals who use oxygen, adults under 60 who require supervision, and diabetics managed with oral medications. Care is also tailored for people living with advanced dementia, ensuring routines and interventions are in place to reduce agitation and promote safety.
An RN or LPN is on staff, with a nurse on call 24 hours a day. All employees pass background checks, the night shift remains awake, and round-the-clock staff and security systems—augmented by a personal emergency response system—help reduce response times in an emergency. Medication management is handled on-site. Residents who need some physical help with bathing, eating, dressing, or toileting receive that assistance, and transfer support ranges from standby supervision to one-person transfers using walkers or wheelchairs when necessary.
Private and semi-private rooms are available; some include a private bathroom, basic furnishings, cable hookup, and the option to paint or decorate with personal items. Housekeeping and scheduled laundry services are provided, though not every room has every feature, so families can review specific layouts during a visit.
Meals follow a set menu designed to meet common dietary guidelines, with snacks offered between meals. In-room dining is available for residents who prefer or need to eat privately. Modified textures—mechanical soft, chopped, puréed, or thickened liquids—are prepared as ordered, and vegetarian selections are part of the rotation.
Residents have access to outdoor smoking areas, an on-site barber and beauty shop, internet connectivity throughout the building, maintained communal gardens, and periodic on-site religious services.
