The Bradford Memory Care provides both Assisted Living and Memory Care, giving families options for residents with differing levels of need. The team is equipped to support residents who wander during the day or night, are at risk for elopement, display combative or other behavioral issues, stay up all night, require oxygen, need special diets, or are younger than 60. Diabetic management covers oral medications, injections, and sliding-scale insulin, and staff are familiar with advanced dementia presentations.
Clinical oversight includes an RN or LPN on site, a nurse on call 24 hours, and an awake night shift. Background-checked caregivers manage medication, coordinate PCP rounding, and arrange podiatry visits while accepting residents with psychiatric diagnoses. Safety measures extend to a fenced rear area, alarmed doors, pull-cord alert systems, and staff presence around the clock. Full assistance is available for bathing, eating, dressing, and toileting, and mobility support ranges from standby help to two-person or Hoyer-lift transfers, including care for bed-bound residents.
Resident rooms can offer private bathrooms, basic furnishings, independent temperature controls, cable access, and the option to personalize with paint or décor, though features vary by unit. Housekeeping and scheduled laundry services are included.
Meals follow a set menu with the ability to provide gluten-free, vegetarian, mechanical-chopped, puréed, or thickened-liquid diets as ordered. Snacks are always available, and residents may choose in-room service or reserve the private dining room for family visits. Staff monitor intake and ensure adherence to physician-ordered dietary modifications.
Shared amenities include wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber and beauty shop, communal gardens, on-site religious services, a library, and a backup generator that maintains critical systems during power outages.
