Autumn Grove Cottage at Humble is a dedicated memory-care community designed for residents living with all stages of dementia, including advanced conditions. The care team is trained to manage complex behaviors such as wandering—day or night—elopement risk, aggression, extended wakefulness, and other behavioral issues. Clinical protocols are in place for oxygen therapy, specialized diets, and diabetes management whether oral medications, insulin injections, or sliding-scale treatment are required. Residents younger than 60 who meet clinical criteria may also be served.

An RN or LPN is on staff, and a nurse is on call around the clock. Caregivers remain awake through the night, and all employees undergo background checks. Exterior doors are alarmed, the rear of the property is fenced, and staff members are on site 24 hours for security. On-site medical services include podiatry, primary-care rounding, medication management, and acceptance of residents with psychiatric diagnoses. Full assistance is available for bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting. Transfer capabilities range from standby help to two-person or Hoyer lift support, including care for those who are bed-bound.

Resident rooms come furnished, and families may bring personal items or even repaint to create familiarity. Cable service, housekeeping, and scheduled laundry are provided. Because rooms vary, not every accommodation includes each listed feature, so it is best to confirm availability during a visit.

Meals follow a set menu prepared to accommodate physician-ordered diets such as gluten-free, vegetarian, mechanical-chop, purée, or thickened-liquid plans. Snacks are available between meals, and in-room dining can be arranged when a resident’s condition requires it. Staff monitor intake and make adjustments under dietitian or physician guidance.

Community amenities include wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber and beauty shop, communal gardens, an on-site library, regularly scheduled religious services, and a backup generator for power continuity.
